Alright, so there's this musical instrument that I cannot remember the name of and it's driving me nuts. They usually show it in Bugs Bunny cartoons with an older man or even one of the characters. They turn the handle around and around on what looks like a piano but is not. And then the monkey goes around collecting money in a mug. What is this?

the man is called an organ grinder ...the organ is called a barrell organ or hurdy gurdy ...dont know why it is called that

It's usually called a hurdy gurdy...although, just to be really confusing...an authentic hurdy gurdy looks a lot more like a fat lute, and is played while it is resting across the musician's knees.
I swear, I'm not making this up.

I have heard it called an organ.....as in the persons is called an "organ grinder", no joke
