First, I love the Cubbies!

Okay, it has nothing to do with Juan Pierre. He's one of the best lead-off men the game has ever seen, and one of the best base-stealers as well. The problem lies with Dusty Baker. He's so into doing double-switches and making sure that everybody's happy, that he forgets that his players are pros, and he forgets to win. See, he'll take out one of his better players, put the new, weaker player in the pitcher's spot, so that he can have a pitcher out of the bull-pen pitch two innings instead of one. But that hasn't worked for him. His first year with the Cubs, he played straight up and they won. I've been complaining about him since 2004. I think with a better manager, they've got the players to win, and they will win. But how can you win when nobody is allowed to question the manager, even the commentators and front management, without getting fired? If the manager sucks, the manager sucks, and in this case, Baker sucks. Get rid of him.

Also, they need to get rid of Wood, Prior's okay as long as he doesn't take another line-drive off the elbow, they need someone better than Rusch, and let's face it, Wade Miller just hasn't worked out. They need to get rid of Phil Nevin (he's just going to take up money, and D. Lee doesn't need a backup so long as nobody runs him over again).

First, WGN television is a wide aspect. The Cubs have had a operating courting with the nationally broadcasted station on the grounds that 1948. The radio station (WGN 720) ought to correctly be heard at evening in a lot of aspects of the rustic outside of Chicago and is between the most efficient radio indicators contained in the international. in the previous ESPN and TBS, WGN for decades became the in ordinary words station that followers ought to visual show unit baseball outside of their living house aspects. in the adventure that they lived in extra rural section or an section without baseball on the time, (Arizona, Florida, etc.) the Cubs were the in ordinary words crew they could watch. second must be the actual incontrovertible truth that Wrigley field is seen a baseball gem. each and every independent individual who you talk to that has attended a recreation at Wrigley will talk of ways alluring the ivy is and how nostalgic the adventure ought to correctly be. that is a ballpark the position human beings's grandfathers watched their first stay baseball (commonplace time period) and so that's sort of a window decrease back in time. The Cubs have not received a international sequence on the grounds that 1908 so an section like Wrigley promises an ecosystem of relaxing and robust thoughts even as the Cubs straightforward await that third championship. finally, the Cubs are a wide underdog. They characterize existence. we are all suffering to achieve our superb happiness. human beings love a strong underdog tale because even as the underdog wins, it makes them sense like something is achievable. human beings love the movie "Rudy" for this very reason. I question the followers that declare that Cub followers shouldn't pay interest to the crew because they have not received something in over one hundred years, yet, those are the same those who bypass to church on Sundays and could have a good time Easter in the present day. once you're antagonistic to human beings having blind faith in a crew, how will you declare to have blind faith in a superb being? i'm pleased with both...

Get rid of everybody and that includes Baker - except for Derek Lee - and start over from scratch with minor leaguers. Its worked several times for the Marlins, why not the Cubs? And the Cubs have tried everything else - they may as well try this approach - it couldn't be any worse than everything else they've tried.

Let's face it, fellow Cub fans, it's time for another overhaul. It's time to fire Dusty, but it's more important to let Wood and Prior go. It was a nice thought, but they've shown they can't pitch a full season.
