Could be materials in the faucet found there way to your strainer on the spout. Unscrew it and see if the strainer is infact clogged.

Did you put it in right side up. that happened the last time I replaced mine, and it didn't have much output. About a trickle. Also check the screen strainer in the spout.

Check the washer inside, the hole is probably smaller than normal! This is to conserve water. A lot of shower heads have smaller washers as well!

you have broken rust loose in line take strainer off and clean
