Unhappy with the truth.. because when your happy with a lie, when the eventual does happen which it always does and the lie will eventually come to light, it hurts even worse to know that all that time you thought u were happy was all a lie.. and it becomes absolutely meaningless and more hurtful to realize what a fool u were to believe in something that wasnt real..

I would rather live with the truth rather than a lie. It goes back to the saying "the truth can hurt". You can always find happiness in other ways.

I am living with this question at the top of all others at this very moment. my husband likes to lie and he is comfortable doing so it is like a second nature to him and i am soooooo used to it. I think the answer is in you...it takes a strong person either way...knowing the truth...and not knowing are equally hard..there is no easy answer to that but if you are dealing with a liar..you will never know the full truth anyway cuz there is always a lie right behind the truth.

Being a recovering addict I have lived a life of lies and I was Happy at the time but now that I am clean and sober I and honest and some times it is not easy or fun however in the long run you have to be true to yourself and honesty is the only way for that to happen so i would rather live with honesty and in time I would become happy maybe not right away but in time.

It would depend on what it was and how deep it was. How many people it would hurt and so forth. Sometimes it isn't so much as a lie but not needing to upset the balance. I say honesty is the best way to live your life and keep your heart free. If the truth would destroy others, then no it isn't the best. The best way to deal with a lie firsthand is ask forgiveness with God...

I'd say unhappy with the truth. Cuz hopefully you can live and learn from that truth and move on with your life. Lies only build up. Trust me, I know.
