Israel may not be powerful enough to start WWIII by themselves but Israel's enemies are capable of doing so. This whole situation has been orchestrated by Iran. You see, Iran is ran by radical Muslims who believe that it is their duty to bring forth the Apocalypse in order for their Imam Mahdi (sort of like the Islamic Christ) to come to this world and help them destroy all infidels (non-Muslims and people who will not convert to Islam) and then set up a world-wide Islamic kingdom. They believe destroying Israel and the United States is a step in bringing him into this world. We are facing the Muslim version of Nazism here.

Taking attention off of themselves is not Iran's only motive behind causing these events to occur. They also believe that when the Muslim world sees Israel attacking Muslim nations such as Syria (which is eminent) it will rally a strong Muslim uprising (aka Jihad) and bring more nations into this war. Muslim news (which is mostly controlled by Muslim governments such as Iran) is portraying Israel as being on a ruthless offensive with the goals of taking over Muslim nations. If this plays out the way Iran intends, Israel will be fighting more than Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran as they will be fighting against every Muslim nation in the middle east. It may take more to cause a Jihad but Iran will stop at nothing in order to do this. Don't be surprised if the Muslim mosque sitting on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is blown up somehow in order to ignite the jihad.

If America is hit with a terror attack, if Iran comes too close to nuclear capability, or if it appears that Israel is in dire need, President Bush will get involved in this situation militarily.
