Because the barometric pressure changes cause the bones and other tissues to expand or contract, and that activates the pressure/pain sensors in those areas, so they ache. Or so I'm told, anyway. :)

Yes ! My brother broke his leg a few years back and he always
knows when it's going to rain. He gets right all the time. Better than the TV.

well, im a nurse and have heard it many times when i worked at the hospital. i also hear it a lot from my grandma. she says "ay, me duelen los huesos, va hacer frio o llover" (oh, my bones/arthritis hurt, its going to be cold, or rain). ♥ i dont know exactly why though but most of the time it is true!!!

hey i am 24 and i know exactly what you mean and it happens to me sometimes, do you know how to predict the rain by looking at a tree???? huh?
