My husband really enjoyed Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It's in that price range, and he's gotten about 40-50 hours of entertainment out of it so far. Lots of replayability. And it just came out this spring, so it's still pretty new. Also, the Sims is really cool, especially the Sims 2 - you get to be in control of tons of little people and do horrible things to them....how fun is that? :D
