Does the thought of kicking the bucket put them in a bad mood?

Maybe because they've reached the age where their bodies don't feel so great anymore. They usually have lots of aches and pains and trips to the doctor, which they can hardly afford since they're no longer able to hold full time jobs. They can't move or think as fast as they once did either.

They may also have to contend with their own family troubles which generally include free loading and/or complete disinterest.

Since nobody, young or old knows when they will 'kick the bucket', I don't think that's the real problem. I think they may just be tired of the struggle.

Give them a break for petes sake. If you're strong enough to become old, you'll find out for yourself how difficult it can be.

Hello, Senior citizens established the world you young people love to live in but unfortunately senior citizens cannot afford the world they created today. The medicines they usually need today cost over $1500.00 a month. Remember when they were middle aged, they paid $.25 per gallon for gas for a car that cost under $2000.00. Senior citizens are no grumpier than any of us who cannot understand why the paycheck doesn't last as long as it used to. It is all about money.

Well...imagine:

having to eat prunes daily to keep regular.
having to go to the bathroom every five minutes.
hearing the bass of some idiot's bass twelve blocks down the street.
not being able to eat pizza and a beer right before bed.
PROSTATE (and other anal/rectal) EXAMS.

Are you a little more understanding now? LOL

If you had to put up with all the young spoiled brats that have no respect for their elders, you would be too.
