Because some of us actually work for everything that we have...we dont sit on our lazy azz and collect welfare...If it wasnt for us working...their wouldnt be welfare..so thank us for carrying the extra weight.

When I used to live in a poor community, I remember the prostitutes were just a few blocks away, parents screaming at their kids, old beat up cars with $5K worth of accessories, drug dealer and junkies. There were a lot of nice people under unfortunate circumstances and there were not so nice people as well.
I live in one of the richest town in the northeast and the perks are great. I have never been cut off on the road, the people here are always very polite, no screaming parents or kids, there are no drug dealers or junkies, virtually crime free, the public schools have fantastic academic and sports programs. The people here are very active in the community, there are actually excess volunteer parents at school events.
It did not matter whether I am rich or poor, it pisses me off whenever I see a 22 year old with a baby, on welfare and driving a brand new Lexus. That is just not right! People should be held accountable for their actions and decisions.

I don't think they are "acting better"... it probably just seems that way. Just think about how they've likely attended private schools and earned college degrees from places like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc. So their vocabulary is more extensive and formal, and they likely attend more formal social events where you have to know which fork to pick up first (ha!). I'm sure if we sat down and drank a rootbeer together we'd find out how kind (and insecure) they really are. Plus, you have to agree there are a lot of people in the inner city who "act better" than rich and middle class people. The world is full of good people, bad people, and annoyingly rude people. I suppose we're just all trying to make our way through the crowds... some people push harder than others.

Because they are doing the same thing you just did with your question ( " why do rich and middle class people " ) They think that everyone in a certain group are the same.
There are people from every class that bring dishonor to themselves, That should not be considered as representative of everyone in that class, But there are those who by ignorance will associate the bad qualities in one person as representative of everyone in that particular class.
Just remember that NOBODY can hurt your feelings or put you down without your permission.

Alot of people who are poor are poor because they made bad decisions. The rich also have to foot most of the tax bill to make up for the poor. Which makes the rich mad when they can't get tax breaks because the people who can't pay don't think it's fair.

Not all rich or middle class people do this.....Most do not.
However, people have large egos which need to be stroked so they can feel better about themselves. In order to stroke their own ego, they may act as if they are better - deep inside they know they are not.
Pay them no attention. It's a societal sickness. Nobody feels really great about themselves all the time. Everyone has their own cross to bear.

For a number of reasons,.........racism, lack of respect, they might think that some of us black people are "too lazy". They complain and say that life is hectic n' sh*t, but really have no idea what it's like to be poor/and or live in the ghetto, until they've experienced it themselves, but NOBODY knows EXACTLY, even if they think they do..... Some things are just unexplainable, but my advice to you, just f*ck em', and if it really becomes a problem, giv them a piece of your mind, a reality check. Confront them until they STFU (shut the f*ck up)..... hope this helps.....

Many people who aren't poor tend to believe that people who live in poverty are poor because they are lazy. I hear many people say "If they would just get a job..."
