Do it on the South-Pole-Aitken basin. There is a lot of free raw data from the Clementine project on NASA. you could process it with matlab or IDL and get some really cool stuff.

The relative relationship between time, and perception. Your conclusion should be that time is man made, and whatever gears that ultimately turn the galaxy could give a damn about time, or a light year. Steven Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" has excellent ideas in this realm, including einstien thoughts of the subject, the speed of light in relation to mass, and the rate at which time slows down according to the mass of a near object. (I mention the mass:speed part because, if you read it, you may come to the same conclusion I did...) Is this a thesis type paper, or a research paper?

the most exciting thing in astronomy right now, imho, is the discovery of other extrasolar systems, how astronomers are detecting extrasolar planets and the possibility of life on those worlds. There are new discoveries coming out every month now. Just a few weeks ago, NASA scientists announced the discovery of several Neptune-mass planets circling a star -- one of them in the habitable zone.

3 to 4 pages is pretty short.

The Big Bang
String Theory for Dummies (that'd be a funny title)
The Exploration of Mercury by Robotic Spacecraft ( not too many, might be good for a short paper)
The Debate over the term 'planet.'

Just a few, hope it helps.
