Any opinion on this question is pretty much meaningless without knowing about the kid's parents. Why shouldn't a bright *five*-year-old be on myspace if the kid's parents are able to maturely field the kid's questions about what he/she sees?

That he cheated the system. Good for him! Next, he'll he into other more dangerous, yet alluring stuff. Maybe he'll become a falsifier of some sort. (You are supposed to be... 14 to own a myspace site now, no?)

It could be dangerous for that person. I thought they didn't allow people under 13 to use the site. I did read that there was going to be some kind of rule that any youngsters could only have their space accessible by people they know, so that makes it sound safe in principal. In practice, it can be a different story.
