The only thing that has helped me is the following method;

It is a little unusual, however it works really well with me, I had serious insomnia issues when I was younger, now I tend to worry a lot and have a messed up body clock, honestly this is the only thing that has ever helped me. Good luck.

Assuming you want to cure insomnia naturally, try these steps:
1. Buy a few different varieties of ear plugs. They vary in stiffness and effectiveness, so you'll need to try them out to find which works best for you.
2. Get a fan and turn it on only when you're about to go to bed. It shouldn't blow on you; you just need it to drown out the outside noise.
2. Don't do anything in your bed except sleep (and make nookie, if applicable). No reading, no TV, no eating, etc.
3. Go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. Do this even if you can't sleep or feel tired. You will eventually get on a rhythm, normally after a week or so.

Firstly get the earplugs,next tackle the stress,whatever it is that`s worrying you,it`s not worth it,next get a fan and keep the windows shut and blinds or curtains shut so as not to let the heat in,drink plenty of water,not alcohol,tea or coffee as it dehydrates.As for the insomnia,try taping your head on the pillow for the amount of hours you want to sleep,it used to work on my kids when they were little,or you can buy Nitekarms from the pharmacy which you don`t need a prescription for.Hope this helps.

Don't count sheep! It makes your mind more restless making it harder to go to sleep. If it's really bad you can take some sleeping pills. If you can't sleep, dont try! It makes it harder. Go and watch tv or read a book untill you feel sleepy and goto bed

Diet. What you eat helps keep you from what you need, would be my figuring. Start with flax oil. Look it up on the net.
