I liked the truck driving idea.... and have you considered a ministry within your church? I can think of few things that should evoke more passion. Perhaps something that combines your love of people/sales/printing industry/any combo.... you can think of something with the help of your pastor/priest/rabbi/wife/girl friend. Good luck Bill

If you are a creative person that has wood working skills, what about furniture making? Neighbor worked for a label making company for 30 years running a machine, but he was a master carpenter. He's retired and making primitive furniture and selling it for tons. He enjoys coming up with different ideas, meeting new people, and promoting his wares....etc... I think you miss the people more than anything. The perks were great, but not being around people can be very depressing if you like to be around people.

work 4 days a week as a handyman and spend the other working day looking for something else that you'll enjoy. that way you still have some money coming in to pay the bills. or get an apprentice to do the hard work and teach your trade to.

You must have passion to pursue your passion and oddly enough the things that you enjoy doing are where your passion lies.

Amateur is used to describe someone who does what they do for the Love of it! A professional has nothing to do with proficiency in as much as its compensated.

My advice is to be an Amateur Professional; ie. doing what you Love doing and receive compensation for it.

I think your problem is attitude and not age. Sounds to me like you aren't thrilled with working.

Go to truck driving school. They make good money.
