Prepare and research for the topic, practice and make the words your own, so that your feelings will flow naturally through the words. Relax, the first few seconds if hurdled right will let you go through your speech till the end. Look over the heads of the audience not at their eyes or you will be distracted. If your feeling nervous, dont rush it, take some deep breath. Dont look down, or you will lost your cool. Wahtever you do, feel confident that you are the best and that you know what you are talking about. Your posture must be just right, dress accordingly and use you hands or gesture if it will prove your point. After your speech let your words sink in for a few seconds while you're still infront of the audience, then slowly, calmly return to your seat. Gud luck.

Ok, this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, but...I heard recently on the Stephanie Miller Show that Pres. Bush carts around a special toilet with him, and has his waste flown back to the US, when he is out of the country, for disposal. This to keep people from examining it for...drugs? Medical issues? And, from the Guardian, that he uses a food taster (a mouse), fearing poison. Perhaps you could use as a lead-in, and give a speech on the paranoia of unpopular heads-of-state?
Or--another good one--the Washington Post had an article not long ago about cloud-seeding in China. Apparently, they are successful enough at causing rain, that some towns are starting to argue over the clouds. As in, "Those clouds were headed our way, and you seeded them so they'd rain on you first instead." Definitely a modern-day problem!

Wait until you get lots of answers to your question and then present them to your class.
Or ask another question like
"If you had to give a speech in class.. on something wierd etc.. what would it be", and recite some of the better answers.
You can then do a speech about a speech, call it a postmodernist approach and feel very clever.
I am aussuming you have SOME time left here. Otherwise it is going to be another one of those days pal.

When I was in high school I did research on mothers who molest their children (mainly boys). The kids thought I was a weirdo and they were right I am but it was well worth the look on the teacher's face and the up roar it cause in the whole school. The next year the teacher limited the topics you could present on.

No difficulty with it. per chance try to be asking this in the kin and relationships section although, as I doubt many LGBT people ought to have themes with transgender people.
