Does the guy know about your feeling in the first place? Is the guy attached? If the answer to my 2nd question is no, then pick up your courage and tell him how you feel about him.

It depends. If you both love each other, then its actually a blessing. But if he or she does not feel the same, then I can see that the friendship will not last. I read this somewhere " happiness is marrying my best friend". I think marrying your best friend will help your marriage.

Alot of good standing marriages started as a friendship. And you never know what is going to happen over time. But its normal to fall in love with your male friends at times because they know you better than any man you ever dated.
