fact 1 : a divided by c = a
fact 2 : a = b + a

dina wrote the following facts about three different numbers a,b, and c.?
fact 1 : a divided by c = a
fact 2 : a = b + a

if fact 1 and 2 are true explain why fact 3 in NOT true

"b" would have to be equal to "0".... and "c" would have to equal "1".... meaning "a" would have to equal "1", but if fact "3" is true, the answer is would be "no solution". 1x0x1 = 0, which is not equal to "1". put "a", "b", and "c" into numbers. you will eventually figure out that what i came up with, numberwise, is right. if "abc=1", all the variables, or so you called numbers, would have to =1, or two of the variables would have to be -1. but if these are true for fact 3, the other 2 facts are false.

i hope i wasnt too confusing...

a/c = a; c=1
a = b + a; b=0
So, abc can't be equal to 1. It has to be zero 'coz b=0.
