Yes to me i do not care if the person is blue and looks like a smurf if they are the right person for the job and I sure as heck will vote for them.

Eventually I think we will get there, but poli sci speaking, if you look at the demographics of those elected to offices (especially the important ones such as Pres and VP), most Americans are just not comfortable yet with woman in positions of power. I mean it was just recently that we finally had a woman gain a position of power in the Senate (what's her face who is the Minority Whip). And so far all we have had for Presidents is white, male, older (with a few exceptions), christian, wealthy...etc. Eventually, as the younger generations (the ones who find homosexuality, women in power, minorities in power, less conservative) age and reach the voting age, the American voters will one day be comfortable to finally elect a woman president. But the fact of the matter is that it is all about what the voters are COMFORTABLE with. And right now the majority of business leaders, political activists, and voters are from a more conservative, "simpler time".

I would vote for whoever supported my views. Gender and race wouldn't be a factor. Other countries haven taken this step we're way behind the times on this one.

As a white male, I wouldn't have any problem voting for a woman or a black woman, if she was the right candidate with a chance of winning.
(Certainly not Hillary.)
