Why are they always criticizing this beautiful country. If they do not love it don't they realize they have the freedom to leave.

They know they have the freedom to say whatever they want, and not fear that there will be consequences. These are always the first people to run our Military down as well, yet none of them would have the guts to join and do what our Service Members. They want America to be a better place, but they don't want to do anything to improve it.

This, is an excellent question. I noticed one of the answers was if you don't like America get out! That used to be a common saying during the Vietnam Era. And, some people did leave because they couldn't agree with the government. On the one hand you had to respect them for taking a stand for their beliefs and on the other hand; you know? not a one of them was missed.
It is never healthy to bash anything; not your boss at work, not your government, not your President, or teachers, or policemen, or who ever. It accomplishes nothing. Instead of wasting that energy on bashing why don't these people do something about the situation?
Make meaningful comments, intelligent suggestions and do something worthwhile. Anyone, can talk negative just to be talking.

When you have finished masturbating about "how great America is", you will realize that other countries are as worthy as the US, and that nobody has the right to impose by force an agenda on others.

Most of the people that criticise the US do so out of love for it. I hate to see poor people and injustice, specially if it's going on in my own country.
Just because you criticise a government's policies does not mean that you have anything against the country as a whole.

I hate some things of the US, like the fact that the media is nothing but a bunch of conservative conglomerates, or the strong support that the country has given to countless of dictatorships on the globe just to be able to expand US bussiness interests and corporate lobbies. But I also love many things about it... Jazz, cultural products, Seinfield, its music, its people, many of the intelligent people that post at this site, for example.
Just because you oppose a government does not mean that you oppose the people that live under that government.
(For example, the resistance movements against Hitler were not against Germany, but against Nazism)
That's a flawed and close-minded way of thinking!

The country may be beautiful, but a lot of people in it aren't. Why should I leave my country because it is being ruined by a bunch of neocons who want to go back to the middle ages? I love my country, but not the people running it. Big difference.

it's always fun to bash that which we are jealous of...think about it..it happens on all scales, from sport teams, successful companies etc. remember how we would bash the smartest kid at school, the prettiest..America is the best in the world, and that is why..

Because they are idiots, and dont have anything better to do. No country is perfect, but at least we have more freedoms here than many other countries...we should be grateful!!

That what is so great about living here, the freedom to complain, but I get what your saying. It sucks that we cannot be more grateful for what we have here, why do you think everyone comes here in the first place???
