He's staying at Madrid--he and his family don't like the rabid press of England. The new President of Madrid made a statement that he wants Beckham to stay "forever"
He'll stay a year or two more--depending on how well Madrid does after re-loading on talent this year. After that he'll move to L.A. and play for the Galaxy (he owns a soccer academy in L.A. and he would fit in well in Hollywood)
By the way, Van Nistelrooy is not going to Madrid, he's going to Bayern Munich.
Another point, Madrid are making a lot of advances to teams trying to buy up their young talent. Madrid has approached Chelsea abour Arwen Robben and Arsenal about Cesc Fabregas. Both clubs have flat out said "NO WAY". Madrid is trying to acquire too many young players and may end up nothing.

Awww my baby is switching teams:( well i hope he rethinks that decision...im not completely sure but during the world cup matches they were commentating that he may be coming to the U.S. to play for thier team...may not be the best move he makes...he's a very talented player and should be playing with the best of the best and i think he's far to good for the U.S. i think he should stay for madrid

Of course he'll play for England - he's only resigned as Captain of squad, not from the whole team.
Think he'll stay in Real for a while - don't think he'll come back to England - would you??

Real Madrid, quite possibly... I don't think they will want to sell him, or anyone will be interested in buying him..
I don't mind, i don't like him, and i don't like Real, so it's a perfect thing for me if he just stays there.
