oooh these are great inventions. They are ladies underpants that have a nearly bullet proof reinforcement panel most often at the tummy. It cinches everything in about a good inch inch and a half. It makes you seem smoother and less poochy.
They also have the kind with a wide (four or five inch) band at the top of the pant so it cinches your middle in a bit and gives you a better waist.
Any good ladies lingerie department will have these. They arent sexy in themselves..not like lace would be..but they can make you look sexier in your dresses.

To correct impressions here a girdle can be supportive and slimming for anybnody. There is nothing wrong with a good girdle , in fact most people would benefit from girdles as corrective garments. The same with support stockings, great for varicose veins and other conditions.
Alling people names for wearing clothes is very wrong as everybody is entitled to like and wear what they wish.
Girdles can be great for back ache and indeed just for protruding bellies , they prevent people from over-eating and drinking too much as well.

It is a famous piece of retro underwear.
Women in time past wore many things to shape
their figure, even if they didn't need it...hello Marilyn?
It was part of the style, and dressing like a lady.
A girldle is kind of like a garter belt corset..it keeps you
firm and holds up your stockings
A panty girdle still has the firm hold but it is a panty
instead of a garter belt, although some panty girdles
still have the straps on them for stockings.
here is a good site that has girdles and
other 'retro' 50s lingerie i think its fab.

It is a girdle. The term " panty girdle" is an old lady term. They may have noticed some "bulges". Girdles are meant to hold it all in and give you a smooth figure.

I haven't worn any kind of shorts under my skirts since I was in grade school. When I was little, I used to wear the kind of shorts you linked to. Now, while I definitely try my best not to flash anyone, I don't mind if someone sees my panties for a second. That is why I wear underwear, after all! (And in fact, with skirts/dresses, it's inevitable someone will get a peek eventually. Not a huge deal, again.) I wouldn't count shorts as an undergarment. I'm guessing you wear the shorts because you don't want people seeing your underwear if you do have an accidental flashing. So you shouldn't be embarrassed if someone sees the shorts--that's why you wear them! If the shorts don't alleviate your embarrassment, then you might as well not wear them in the first place. They're really for your sake, not others'.

It is a very tight foundation garment designed to flatten your tummy and smooth out any bulges. A panty girdle is one form of girdle which is worn like a panty.

It's a full pair of underwear made with strong elastic binding to help keep a protruding belly and unruly backside in place. Some are made to cinch the waist a litte. It's not a full on girdle, so the support is minimal.

I find this question hard to take seriously, but anyway, it is a girdle that is just the size of a pair of panties. not like the old fashioned kind.
