It's ethnocentric and is still tied to the old feminine ideals. The magazine seems to believe that whatever a girl accomplishes, she must still be able to be a decorator, cook, housekeeper, and she must strive to one day have a family. There are no examples of girls in American Girl who strive to be businesswomen, inventors, scientists, mathematicians, or anything considered "masculine". It is actually posing a hindrance to some girls who want to break into traditionally masculine fields.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the American Girl magazine. Kids & Teens of all ages can read it, and it has real-life stuff in it. I think itz awesome!

i found it wrong in the since that they put beautiful girls in the cover of magazine, teenagers see this magazines and the girls wants to be like the models in the magazine
