My nipples aren't sore but my breasts have aches and pains that come and go with the (outer) sides of my breasts sore to touch. Anyone experience this type of pain & soreness during your first month?

I'd not abnormal. Your WHOLE body is adjusting for the coming of a child. Things will start to feel good, and others will start to feel bad.

When you give birth, you will feel something similar to this, it is your milk "letting down".

I don't know if it will help before birth or not, but my lactation consultant said that just massaging the tender part of your breasts will help it feel better after a few minutes.

Hope the rest goes well for you, and congratulations!

If you will take 2 vitamin E capsules a day, that will keep the pain away. I had the same problem, and several of my friends, along with my doctor told me that was what I needed and they were very right. You have to take it for a couple of weeks before you will notice a difference, but it is like day and night between the difference.

I know how you feel. My breasts were so sore that I had to get a sports bra that my mother had to stretch out just so that I could wear one. It all calms down after a while. Also I put a heating pad, on my reasts, on low and it helped

Oh definitely! Mine were sore from day 1. Hang in there. I applied a warm heating pad to mine.

if you just started nusing that is notmal you need to toughen them up a bit try to not nurse so long and go with out a bra a bit to let the air heal the nipples if it gets worse you may have to quit and see a doctor
