I really think the DETROIT LIONS will have the best line this year. They had a tough as nails line last year. Now they have coach Rod Marinelli who was the defensive line coach at Tampa Bay. He is the head coach for the Lions now along with Mike Martz formerly of the Rams 'greatest show on turf' as the offensive coordinator. So Marinelli will definitely be keeping the defensive line tough. Although they cut Defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson, new tackle Shaun Cody will be just fine if not better. Look for the Lions to explode this year on all aspects of the game.

Im gonna go with Either Carolina or Chicago. Peppers is a monster defensive end and Jenkins clogs the middle in Carolina. The bears have Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson plugginf the middle and Alex Brown and 'Wale Ogenule are sack specialists.

darn hard to answer - the responsibilities of a D-lineman in a 3-4 are far different than the responsibilities of a 4-3 d-lineman. It is very hard to compare the two "protype" linemen from each system against each other.

That said, if I am looking at a 3-4, I go with the Steelers. If I am looking at a 4-3, I go with the Panthers.

Gotta go with Chicago Bears. Their first test last year was against Carolina, and their front line sacked Jake Delhomme 8 times. They were the #1 D in the league all season until the last game when they played their 2nd & 3rd stringers against Minnesota.

I have to make an argument for my Giants. They have Osi and Strahan and now they brought in Arrington. Look, last year the Giants D was already respected and that was after every linebacker got hurt. They should one of the top D's in the NFL this year and definitely the best D-line

I do not like the Steelers but I think they've got it. Extremely tough to run on that team. I hope the Eagles show up this year! They used to be awesome!
