My family attended the race @Chicagoland last weekend. We had pit passes & had a ton of fun but noticed lots of people with garage passes. They were not press or didn't seem any different then us. Is it possible to purchase garage passes or do you have to "know someone"?

You have to be affiliated with a team. You can get cold passes for the pit but garage passes arent something the general public has available to them. Sorry!

I am sure you would have to know someone to get them.. unless there was some sort of promotion such as a radio contest that gave them away. For example I think there was a contest on TV that you could win an Ultimate Fan Experience or something that included garage passes.
