easy ways to take splinters out..soak in warm water..soapy as well..

it a little bit is sticking out..put a piece of scotch tape over it..and pull in the direction it went in. (easiest for children : I am a preschool teacher)..

Possibly. When my daughter was about 3, she got a splinter in her knee and wouldn't let me touch it. After she went to bed, I put alcohol on cotton ball and held it against the splinter in hopes of preventing an infection. It worked. In a few months the splinter worked itself out and I didn't have to pull it.
