In response to the previous message - "Blame Bush for that", I'm not sure how you'd figure that since Bush was obviously not in office in 1969 when Manson went to prison. Manson is up for parole in 2007 and will be 73 years old at that time. And no, I do not agree with Manson's prison sentence - it's pretty ridiculous that others who actually carried out the killings are free and he's not.

Could a person honestly say that without Manson's influence upon his cult, "the family", those murders would have happened? I think that's going far to say that he "never ordered" for those people to be killed, but he certainly led his followers to believe that would make him happy.
In the eyes of the law, whether or not you pulled the trigger or stood back and watched, you're guilty if you partake in a crime in any way. For example, we believe that Bin Ladin was mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, even though the people who hijacked the plane have died and were the direct physical cause behind it. In the eyes of United States law, Bin Ladin is as equally guilty because he participated and conspirated to kill thousands of people. It doesn't matter that Manson did not physically kill those people, he certainly played a large part in their deaths.
Hope this makes sense!

How do you were you at the mustang ranch?? I happen to know for a fact that he had those poor people murdered on his order you see we are related and He is as crazy as he looks so he is spending the rest of his life in prison for a good reason he has the same blood on his hands just like those killers do. Uncle Charlie will die where he belongs IN PRISON.

He ordered it. He has never denied that.
the people who carried it out are still in jail, he belongs there with them
The website you list is another example of how the internet is not at all concerned with fact or even truth; anyone can post anything. There's a website for people who have "proof" that the earth is flat.

He orchestrated numerous killings.
Ever hear of Conspiracy to Commit Murder?
Pick a woman in your life, visualize her 8 1/2 month pregnant and then visualize someone stabbing her to death?
Would you want the mastermind behind the crime to be in jail for life?
I would hope so.
It isn't like the murderers themselves are free.

Yeah, Adolf Hitler never killed anyone ether. Maybe he got a bum rap too. He's got some good followers that would not do anything without him telling them to, but on their own went and killed people he wanted dead, funny how that works.

He was a public threat. He manipulated people using drugs.
He ordered his "family" to murder.
No I do not see anything wrong with him being in prison.

Uh huh...sure...whatever. I'm sure he's just being framed. Regardless, he's insane and better off the streets. If he was framed, good for the person who came up with that idea!!!! 10pts!
