Pray for yourself and your family. Be honest and up front. Trust in their love for you. Many gay Catholics have faced the same challenge.

Remember the Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says, "They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.

A couple of things:

If you live with them, and have no options and they might throw you out, you're not ready to tell anybody. Get your self in a position where you are independent, and then it won't happen anyway. But you know what I mean, right?

Second, find an ally. Pick a brother or sister or somebody who you can tell anything to, and tell him or her first. Make sure it's cool there, then spread the word. It helps a whole lot to have somebody in the room that you KNOW is on your side if it gets ugly.

Good Luck!

That is not a simple question to answer. I think that it is better not to tell them. The other thing is why do you need to tell them? Because the catholics doesn't understand, and all are sins! If you go to a priest, its almost the same or worst. Think about, what is better for you. Good Luck!

First, examine "continuously our children" handy through google. in my opinion, i imagine this is boastful as all get out for some different person to inform ME what God is calling me to do, so i do not quite purchase it. yet recognize the reliable stance though. the different difficulty is, recognize your mum and dad. My mom had already advised me that even as she does flow to Catholic church, and does no longer evaluate going everywhere else, that is because Catholicism is as on the fringe of her beliefs as she thinks it may get; yet no longer one hundred%. once you're waiting, and fantastically once you're literally no longer financially dependand on them (or for that count, emotionally dependant on in basic terms them; have some friends waiting to confer with), i'd say in simple terms supply it a shot.

Ask them if they will love you no matter what.

Chances are, they will say yes.

Tell them you are gay, but only when you are ready.

You shouldnt live in fear for who you are, so resolve it when you cannot stand it any longer.

Russ out.

well it's your life. You're the one who's gay. Gayness is not your problem it's your families...just let them in on it easily.
