I was just wondering, is it legal to take cameras to concerts? I mean Camera for taking pictures, not videotaping I know about those. But what about photocameras? Is it illegal as well? And if yes, then why is it not allowed?

No it's not illegal. There is no LAW against taking pictures at a concert. But whether or not cameras are allowed at a particular concert depends on the venue's rules and what the artist wants. If there's a particular show you're wondering about, you should call the venue and ask if cameras will be permitted at that show.

Well, as a former photobug, there are copyright laws that the bands have. After all, they don't want bad photos publicised. There is a strict rule on photographs at concerts.
I had a coat that the lining of my pocket was ripped. I put the camera in the back of the coat and wore it baggy. Nobody found it. Got some great pics. Be careful being caught with anything because it is clearly posted that if they find you with the camera they have the right to seize it. No matter what it is.
Good luck!

Hmmm, I'm not sure. Probably not. But if you have a camera on your cell phone, you have the right to take your cell phone there...maybe take a few pictures...they can't take your cell phone away, that's just silly.
