Let me tell you a story...
My baby brother (born 1980) started abusing alcohol. My family got him into rehab. He did not feel that he had a problem, so rehab did not work. A few months later, he was unable to keep his eyes open and had labored breathing. We took him to the emergency room. He had overdosed on Xanax, a prescription muscle relaxant. He again went into rehab, but denied any problem.
One day, he became under the influence. My dad tried to stop him from driving. My brother pulled a loaded gun on my dad. My brother was arrested, but charges were dropped because he agreed to go to rehab and take it seriously.
About a year later, my mom and dad found my brother dead in his bed. He had overdosed on a laced drug.
One problem is when you get the illegal drugs, you have no idea what is in it. The dealers will do anything to get you hooked on the stuff so that they can stay in business. It is not worth it.
I learned from my brother's rehab that once someone is an addict, they are always an addict. Do you want to be known as an addict for the rest of your life? When you need a pain killer, they won't be able to give it to you (even if it's an alcohol addiction!)? I can't imagine.
Drugs are not worth it. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my brother and shed a tear. What a shame and waste! He had so much potential, yet he is gone. This will affect me and my entire family for the rest of our lives. If nothing else, think of your family and friends and how they would feel if you had died suddenly from abusing drugs.
I hope this helps you. If you need any further information or have questions, please contact me here on Yahoo.

I'm also 16. People have always told me not to drugs. No one has ever pressured me to drink/smoke/etc. I have drank, in the past. I can easily smoke cigars or weed with my friends, and I know some kids brother who used to deal. (so i could score acid, x, or speed) if i wanted to. I'm also interested in trying/experiementing with some soft drugs (weed, x, acid). When my friends started experimenting, I also "thought about drugs a lot." If your serious about trying drug and alcohol, be safe.
Beer or smirnoff ice- type malt drinks are weak alco products that are popular. Lay off the shots for a while :)
Smoking cigs are nasty and bad, but trying one might make you disgusted which is probably good.
Smoking weed is not a big deal. Just don't carry it in your car or get in trouble.
High-quality ectacy gives a pushy, long-lasting high. Also, pretty safe. Do it at parties.
Meth is bad and addicting. Crack is bad and addicting. PCP is too dangerous. Cocaine is too addicting. Herione is way too risky.
Codeine cough syrup might be hard to get.
I feel exactly what you are feeling. That's why I have taken time to do research. Have fun and be safe.

You might want to consider the consequences of your supposed actions. Drugs and alcohol can carry nasty addictions that can last for years without rehab. Plus, if you get caught with it and arrested, it can be held against you if you try to apply for a job.
Be sure to think before you act.

If you think smoking is worse than crack cocaine and heroin, maybe you need to go meet a person or two trying to kick the habit in a half-way house. Trust me...you NEVER want to be in that position. It can kill you a lot faster than a cigarette.

Focus your curiosity on things that do less harm...for example a new hobby, and don't do the things because the others tell you but because you really feel that is the right thing to do.
If you get in drugs, it is soo hard to get out, you will need a detoxification center, don't try that.

i'm 16 too. I hear stories about kids drinking and doing drugs all the time. Sure i wonder about it. But i chose not to, i think it's kind of gross, and i'm not going to do something just because other people do. Decide for yourself.
