Well...Im not completely hard of hearing, but Im half deaf in my left ear and I do exactly what you just said.

What happens with me is that for some reason I only tend to hear the end of a sentence if the person is on my left. So I wait till the end and then ask them to repeat because I missed the first part.

People who are very hard of hearing though, can see that youre talking, but youre not talking loud enough for them to hear, and so they wait till youre done and then ask you to speak up or something.

peace

We can usually figure out what you are saying from lips, context, and the little we can actually hear. It's only when you get to the end of your pointless, illogically constructed, mumble-mouthed monologue that we realize that we're lost.
Cut us some slack, here. Speak clearly, construct your sentences logically, and arrive at some logical conclusion at the end.
Then we'll say, "huh?" a lot less. A lot.

Because they don't want to be rude by interupting. I am hard of hearing. Many times I can get the gist of the whole conversation. When I can't I ask to have it repeated. People that slur their words (many) are the most difficult to hear.
In other words, it is not done to irritate people---we can't hear. Even with hearing aids, sometimes still difficult.
Someday when your hearing dissipates, you'll understand.

I do that I do that because I don't like to interupt a person when their speaking. I t seems rude to say what are you saying in the middle of a sentence.
