I want to stop taking it because I believe it makes me less "horney" from what others have said. Me and my man don't want children and we don't like condoms. We are in a committed relationship so there are no other worries. The only worry is having an unwanted pregnancy (not to say if it happened that we would get rid of it). Any options on what to do so that we don't conceive before we are ready to? Since I've been having sex I've always been on birth control so this is way new to me (I want me sex life back on track asap and this is the only thing that is standing in my way).

I did the shot thing and didn't like it. I don't want to use any birth control at all because I think it's making my sex drive slow down (I just turned 25)

I have a friend who started using the Nuva ring and loves it. It has a much lower hormone dosage, and you only have to replace it once a month. Might work for you!

i kinda agree with bluez.i have never heard of the pill doing it to anyone,i was on it for many years.if you do not want any kids at this time you have to use birth control.and no the pull out thing does not work as the male leaks before he cums.sometimes stress can cause lack of sex drive or you are just bored they way you do it ,try to do new things.there is so much to do in sex.when you have been with the same person for awhile sex can go down hill if you don't keep if fresh.i must say i was feeling the same way once then when i reach 30 i went crazy not sure why .good luck

If you're not willing to take birth control, then there's no way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Maybe your lack of sex drive is in your head and has nothing to do with the pill.

You're not really giving yourself many options, sweetie. Have you tried the female condom? I can't blame you if you haven't. If neither of you wants kids why doesn't your guy get fixed? It's easier than if you do it plus they won't likely fix you coz you've never given birth and are too young.

You can try using the sponge or some spermicide. You could also get a diaphram, or an get an IUD inserted. Both of those you need to get from your doctor though.

There are a lot of products out there.

if you opt to stop it use condom or other means of birth control. stopping abruptly and an intercourse will likely make you conceive.. I don't know what to recommend you..try to ask your gynecologist I think
