Invulnerability.
Time travel would be neat but there are too many problems associated with paradox.. besides has anyone seen the Butterfly Effect?
Premonition would be good only if you had the power to act on them. (besides doesn't premonition mean seeing something before it happens? so it is going to happen because you saw it ... no matter what you do )
Super speed would be great if you didn't wear out your body.
Actually a combination of Super-powers would be best. Because any one limits you. Look at the super hero's in comics They all (with few exceptions) have a combination of abilities.
Superman can fly and is invulnerable and has extraordinary strength ... etc...
Spider-man has the ability to create webs and has a "spider-sense" (you could could call it a premonition), and incredible reflexes...etc...

Mind reading and mind control would be very powerful, but I think they'd be a pain. Such an intrusion, and such a heavy responsibility. Who wants all that?
Instead, I'd be a shapeshifter able to turn into ANYthing, anything at all, and keep my mind and senses. Sneak into terrorist hiedouts and call in the troops. Turn into a car to catch serious car thieves working an area. Hide as money in a bank rawer until someone steal me, then turn into a elephant or something similarly inconvenient. I could masquerade as a hot college gril (kinda odd, I know) to help catch a serial rapist (catching a scum like that would be worth cross-shifting). The possibilities go on and on.
Oh, and for fun, I could turn into a dog to play in the park. Or make myself a Corvette for my friend to joyride. Hehe, even turn into a nice balck vinyl outfit like your avatar is wearing. For my wife of course! LOL

Oh, for the ability to go forward and back in time. All other super powers would be canceled out with one little trip back to the future.

I find it weird that the top super powers are almost always flying, breathing underwater, and invisibility.
I'd choose to be able to turn into any species of animal (extinct or not) at will. I could fly (as a bird, say), breath underwater (fish), and be virtually invisible (chameleon comes to mind). And plus animals are really cute :D
