Hes got a cool and funky style but I don't know if hes versatile enough to be a staying power. I really like him though and hope he does well. But the only one that has been able to carry that off has been Kelly Clarkson....Only time will tell..

I'll take the route of all the rest besides Kelly Clarkson...

The only american idol that has stuck around and made an impact in my life is William Hung. If a retarded looking asian guy that can't sing or dance worth **** can now get hot chicks and make close to a million in endorsements, it makes me believe I can do something just as wretched and get the same deal.

Carry on William, you're an inspiration.

No,he will not. As with most Idol winners, his fifteen minutes are already ticking. Where has Ruben Studdard been lately? Have you heard much of Clay Aiken recently? I have watched about 15 minutes of this show in total since it started, but I do know that Hicks voice is pretty average, and you have to have great talent to last.

I think he could have amounted to more WITHOUT American Idol... They are forcing him to move away from his Blues/Soul roots and change into a sale-able comercialized pop star which he is not... If he had complete artistic freedom on his album I would buy it in a second, but if they are going to try to turn him into Kelly Clarkson then count me out!

Heck no, he's started out doing car commercials. When you are the American Idol, you can start with something better than that.

Taylor Hicks will either be a one hit wonder or he will only make one album

He'll do fine. I think he has the talent to be a true classic and not another pop star fad. I can see him doing albums in the future with Kenny Rogers and Michale McDonald.

He has a big, huge, confident personality...
Admit it... We LOVE that!
He's probably going to be the only idol winner to get his own daytime show or something!
You just watch.

I think he'll be in the spotlight for as long as Ruben Studdard was. And that wasn't very long.
