He lives in the dark...dark is cool. Also he has those killer ears and teeth, literally. And, who can't love that voice. My dad has a count dracula voice and before the age of caller ID (imagine that) my dad would have a ton of calls on Halloveen. He would sit by the phone and as they called he would answer, Hello? NO, IAM NOT DRAKULA, VY RRRR you calling herrrrre? They would hand up and he would also smiling all the while waiting for the next ring and laughing so hard, he'd have to wipe his eyes. I think he misses those days.

Probably because he is tall, dark, and mysterious. He only travels @ night and that adds to the intrigue. He is supposedly romantic...that always woos tha ladies. He has an accent that makes us weak in tha knees. And please he has a castle, and what girl does not want a man with his own castle, you must be crazy. He, Dracula is a blood drinker from way back, that neva ages that makes humans' curiosity peak.

Much credit goes to Bela Lugosi's infamous portayal. Dracula went from ghastly to sophisticated, and is seen as an ancient, enigmatic sex symbol. He's the undead rich playboy of the paranormal world.

I think the reason that Dracula is cool is no longer becuase of his image portrayal in movies but becuase of the real historical evil person he was based on:

Vlad Tepes Dracul

Here is some information about him (Vlad):

Perhaps people identify or sympathize with his plight. He was a regular guy like everyone else then he was screwed over and damned to an eternity of darkness and blood.

Also similar to Satan's story.

he is the perfect metaphor for life. as we age we feel the world (dracula)is sucking the life out of us,van helsing represents the brave stong powerful us we wish we could be. when he kills dracula it represents a victory over death, a powerful image the subconscious recognizes.therefore his defeat of dracula is our defeat over mortality.

He's the ultimate "bad boy" and all females love a "bad boy" He's sexy, evil, and mysterious all rolled into one. And since he can't go out in the daylight you never have to introduce him to your friends and family.
