I'm not referring to filing them down, or corn pads, either. I mean alternative treatments to bring the skin back to normal so it looks like there never was a callous?

Keep your shoes and socks on, during the day. That's what I have to do. I also soak my feet in mild soapy water, and have found 'Reli On - Callus treatment cream,' applied lightly, works wonderfully! I found it at WalMart.. Does not contain salicylic acid, and has a pleasant odor about it.

The only real way is to stop doing what's creating them. If its shoes you will have to get new shoes, if it's lifting weights then you'll have to stop lifting weights. They form by the body trying to protect itself from that constant pressure on it. Filing will get rid of them for a little while but as long as there are the same forces acting on them they'll form again. Sorry, no quick fix.

Stop whatever you're doing that causes the callous and soak it in warm soapy water everyday.

I'm waiting on answers to this question too.......please don't just say to wear proper sized shoes, get a pedicure, soak in warm soapy water. Really, most of us have tried all these things. Any real help?
