Actually it would not be great if there were a free laundry service, because the taxpayers would have to absorb the cost of the electrical use, the water and sewage costs and the maintanance on the machinery.
So although free, it would end up costing you in the long run anyway, through higher taxes.

Apparently my sons think I am the 'free' laundry service. And yes, they think it's great!
They always whine the nifty comback.."welllll...I WOULD do my own laundry, but YOU won't let me"....to which I reply, "since you broke the belt on the washer by putting five loads in a single load machine..." whinewhinewhine....it's easier to do it myself. Bloody kids....
