He was an actor. He did a great job of acting like the President. Sure, he wasn't all "there" in the head, and couldn't lead himself to the bathroom at the end, but man, did he look good to Republicans behind that desk.

Anybody who was around at the time knew he had Alzheimer's his last few years in office. Nancy really ran the country.

As for the Soviet Union collapsing while he just happened to be office he cannot take credit for that. The Soviet Union collapsed on their own and they were heading on a downward spiral long before he got in office.

I ponder that often as well. Dr's even said he was experiencing signs of alzheimers while still in office. Yet, he could do no wrong. Things that baffle the mind.

Because he took guidance so well and followed the program the extreme right wing wanted him to do. the right of course is still in power with Bush...The extreme right wing now owns the republicans and is trying to own the whole country. Too many people are following like sheep the bait...time for people to begin to use their brains and think for themselves....and vote.

President Reagan's story had a tragic end.
Alzheimer's is a devastating, progressive disease that takes years for it to show. He undoubtedly was in the early stages while president.
Alzheimer's is not funny & Pres. Reagan should not be attacked due to his disease.

Having said all that, he was not a very good president & anybody who believes he was is living in dreamland.

he got Alzheimer's long after he left office. I can understand why you hate him though he brought down the Soviet Union the last bastion of total Socialism too bad.
