It is possible to purchase a digital camera for as low as $30 US, all the way up to $1,000 and well over for professional quality.

I would highly recommend NOT buying any of the under $150 ones, as they will give you more headaches than fun, from poor quality photo's, to not lasting very long.

The number of megapixels is not the sole clue to camera's. Many of the cheap ones sport 3.4 mp, but the lenses and other hardware is so cheap, the picture quality, frankly, sux.

Do some research online with keywords "digital camera reviews", and read all you can about the various mid-range ($150-250) cameras. You won't be sorry for spending a bit more. I agree with person above about HP, they tend to be good, but so are Nikon cool pix, and others.

If you are a more serious photographer looking for a higher end camera, then go for one of the Cannon or Nikon DSLR's, which will set you back about $800-1200.

it depends on what kind you want you can get one that is cheap and can be a pain in the butt that are about 20 to 50 bucks then there are the good ones that are awesome that take great pics and you can use them for a webcam digital cam and video camera those are $150 to $500 depending what you want i would recommend the kodak HP cameras they are really nice you will get your money worth if you take alot of pics

the run all differences prices depending on what you want it to do. Some start at like 150.00 and can to to at least 500.00
