typically a gallon of paint will cover 350 to 400 sq ft depending on the surface your house. if is stucco it might only cover 350 where smoth siding will allow you to get up to 400 sq ft of coverage and it also depends on how sloppy you are.
i always use the 350 sq ft that way if i have extra i have touch up for later and if i run short its easy to go get another gallon

First you are going to have to find the total surface area for your house. Depending on the paint, the paint should say one gallon will cover this much of and area. Total Surface Area/(area per gallon) that's how many gallon you will need plus a little extra just in case of mistakes.

Figure out how many square feet you need to paint. Most paints have the square foot coverage on the label.
