African- American males like to wear baggy/oversize clothing as a style. They feel is is more macho to wear bigger clothing than more fitted clothing.

For the same reason they wear pants that fall down often. The same reason White people imitate the same style foolishness. STUPIDITY! As in low IQ. The average ******* IQ is 69 which is borderline retarded. For mulattos it is 79 the more caucazoid genes the higher the IQ. For White folk the average is 100 and even 90% of White folk are gullable and easy to manipulate and actually somewhat insane since most all of them are into christ insanity at least a bit. Although I have seen many Black teens wearing the biggest "tall tees", Hispanics often wear the ridiculously large pants. This all makes for a ridiculous look for the vast majority of the population.

Now you can't judge a book by its cover, and I know there are many examples of good kids dressing like this. However, many Black and Hispanic teens, and for that matter Whites who dress like that, are often the ones causing problems on the train, in class, at the club, on the street, etc...

For the sake of the "good kids" who dress like that, I hope someone in their life(i.e. dad, uncle, aunt, older brother, etc.) pulls them aside and lets them know that they are only kidding themselves if they think their dress will not severely limit where they can go in life.

People who say, "Anyone who wears this, has got to be that", are being overly absolutist and simplistic. Nothing is that simple. However, people who dress like inmates and think they are not going to pay a price are the epitome of naivete, or at the very least misguided.

Young men, "Pull your damn pants up! No one wants to see your underwear. Buy a smaller shirt! While you think yourself stylish, you are primarily appealing to a very small percentage of the overall population. Incidentally, the population you are appealing to, DOESN'T DO MUCH HIRING!
