Ethyl Oleate is a light-yellow oily liquid that is an ester of oleic acid and ethyl alcohol. It is used as a plasticizer; as a softener for resins, leather, and rubber; as a lubricant; and to make cleaning and polishing compounds. The "NF" stands for National Formulary. "Ethyl Oleate NF" is ethyl oleate that meets certain standards set by the National Formulary.
