Any body really had good success with internet singles, or are there more horror stories than success

I know 2 very happily married couples who met through Y! Personals. They are celebrating 9 and 7 year anniversaries, respectively.

Of course there are going to be "horror stories", but there can be good success too!
My friend has been with her guy for over five years and they met on the Internet.
If you think about it logically there are many more people on line than you meet in your normal life, so therefore there is a bigger chance of you meeting someone you connect with and could potentially love.
Lots of people have success, if you were thinking in doing it yourself, go for it. Just remember that it may not work out first time, you may need to persevere.

I got hitched by a Christian dating thing yonks ago, and since lost her because I found the true way, left the church and been thrown out by my beautiful family.

My friend met and dated two lovely guys from online dating sites. I'd give them a go personally (if I was single), as long as I was sensible and never let them know too much too soon.
You could always try speed dating, that's safe and sounds like a laugh.
