With my first pregnancy my doctor prescribed me xanax because I have horrible panic attacks and my baby was very healthy but now I am reading more things saying that its not okay. I havent asked my new doctor yet, but has anyone else experienced this or know someone who has taken them throughout pregnancy? Please only answer if you know! Thanks

I got the baby blues every time with my kids art around 7 months pregnant. I would have bad anxiety attacks and bad depression. I have three healthy babies that are just fine. they only prescribe the ones that they know are safe. With everything there are risks, but having paniack attaxcks and depression also have darker scarier side affects...good luck...your baby will most likey be fine...

I have been on Zoloft for the past few years. I spoke to my ob/gyn when I was considering getting pregnant. He said it was okay, but to stick with anti-depressants in that same class only. He said that there would be a pediatrician present at the birth in case the baby didn't cry at first, etc. I think that if you don't really need the meds, then try to get off of them. Otherwise, talk to your doctor about it. I trust my doctor wholeheartedly, so I felt comfortable with his answer. Try not to worry too much! Good luck!

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life
