Nothing. And yep, it is.
It's included in rent ... which would be the same with or without it.

Someone else in my family pays the cable but I think it's worth it for us. There are many of us and we watch a lot of TV. Personally, I don't watch anything on network television except American Idol, which is seasonal. Also, I can no longer stand the buzz from a TV without cable. And the screen is horrible. If it's not fuzzy, it's almost blurred and can irritate your eyes. And if you're not watching NBC, ABC or CBS, you're pretty much screwed.
Yes, some people in this world do still watch TV.

I don't watch t. v. much. Except for CSI shows, Ghost Whisperer, and Antiques Roadshow, there's very little to watch besides news. Speaking of which, cable news is no news, little snippets just rehashed ALL DAY LONG (the worst is CNN Limey talk nyoos in which no one who can speak properly delivers the news, you know WITH the letter R included!!!!!).
About five years ago, cable programming generally really started going to the dogs, adopting all this reality bites t.v. format from the regular networks! (You know, where they do practically nothing but then they interview about it!: "Well, I was goin' to scrath my *ss, but then I changed my mind, but that guy George, all he does is stand around scratching his *ss so we'll never get our huts built. That's why I'm going to see that he gets voted off the island." ("Yeah, yeah, yeah," saith the viewing world, "just shut the *#@& up!")
A&E, for example, used to have really great programs (when Biography was about truly important people, like the Caesars!---now it's about tv "stars") but now it's really really lame: some guy who thinks he's Tonto rides around with a bunch of tatooed Celts "arresting" people and trying to out-cuss each other. Another show is about building custom motorcycles (really beautiful bikes, but do we need to hear every cuss word and see every butt scratch until each bike is built?).
Basic cable runs about $35/month and you still end up just watching your regular local stations. Save yourself some money. Use it to go see a movie in a theater or rent something to watch. Don't waste it hoping to find something to watch on cable (or satellite) t.v.

$38/month. Yeah, it's totally worth it. I had Dish Network and they SUCKED. I switched to DirecTV and they also sucked. Went to Cox Cable and they were a LOT cheaper and the service is almost never interrupted like it is (all the time) with satellite.

I don't have cable or sattelite TV. I don't think it's worth the money for even basic cable.

I think it's over $50 and no it is not worth it because it is the package in between Basic and Digital.
I really cannot afford it but they've made sure that my tv doesn't work without it.

Around $40 a month. I keep it because its cheaper than the alternatives and I can 'split' it to all my television sets without being charge extra. But honestly...television is not that great and its getting worse every year.

I pay the perfect price for cable...$0.00. I don't have it, never have, and don't intend on getting it. I don't have time since I'm always on the Internet. :-)
