What would be the response if white people started a thing where only whites could say cracker?

Using the N word just doesn't make sense. If it is not offensive if one person says it then it is not offensive if everyone says it, and the other way around. I don't see how you can say that only one race can use a racial slur.

And if you're going to call me racist please tell me how this is racist because I don't see how it is. I'm not saying everyone should be allowed to use the n word, i' m saying nobody should and it makes no sense for some people to use it. And by the way, nobody in connecticutt would care if you called them a cracker.

The main problem is that not everyone will take the words as just jokes. We have gotten so used to the word being used everyday that it seems almost correct to use it without a second thought. We should in reality stop the usage of all racial slurs altogether. There shouldn't be a double standard to the usage of these words just STOP USING THEM. There are so many slurs that we hear everyday but we have forgotten that they are actually insults. Even the song Yankee Doodle which in America we have all heard and praise it as being Patriotic was actually an insult to Americans being Stupid. Racial Slurs are starting to become just like this and being part of the everyday language. Think about it, people who use these terms are actually insulting others. Sad enough the person receiving the insults are just laughing. You should care if someone calls you a cracker or n***a cause it just keeps the racial divide that we are trying to break!!!

Well, I'm Mexican, and I don't mind being called beaner or wet back, I think it's kind o' fun. I also use the N word with my friends, even if they are not black. I don't use Cracker or Redneck often, they just don't have the same ring to it, but I think ppl should stop caring so much about meaningless things like "offensive" words. They are only offensive if ppl decide to take offense. But if whitey decides to copyright the word cracker, I have no problem with that

Here's exactly why. I am disabled. Can't walk. I HATE HATE HATE the terms "paralyzed" "paraplegic" (made my blood boil to write that one) "hadicapped" and especially "hadi-cappable" - call me that, I'll punch you.

I'm a cripple. It's true, and it's funny. I can laugh at being a cripple. I make cripple jokes (only EVER about myself) and others laugh at them. I make sure to say the word CRIPPLE really loudly in public to make people uncomfortable.

Because people are uncomfortable with the word, I can use it, my friends can use it, and I can make light of my situation. I imagine black people use the n-word in order to take a bad thing and make it good, and make it about solidarity. But I don't know. I just know that I would rather, in the company of my friends and family, say cripple than "disabled" or "handicapped" or any other PC label that society likes to put on me so they can feel better about themselves. People think that as long as they don't call a black person a ______, they can treat them however they want. Same with me. I don't want someone to call me a cripple in a negative sense, as an insult, just the same with black people and the n word. If a white person is their friend they will let them call them the "n" word. Its not about the word its about how its used, who uses it, and why.

So, actually if white people had their own word that black people couldn't say, it would be more racist than black people cqalling each other the "n" word, unless you let some black peple who were your friendssay it.

By the way, why don't you ask one of your black friends?


Of course, my dad thinks i'm crazy and will not allow me to call myself a cripple in his presense. So who knows.

I think the naacp would have a temper tantrum run it to the supreme court and have you put in jail for hate crimes but of course thats only fair right just like it would be wrong if there was a wet(white entertainment television) or a massively pushed hispanic history month lets just face it there is a lot of whiney black people

You are so right. Why don't you go to downtown Compton and start saying the N word, and I'll go to Connecticut and start calling white people "Cracker". I'm sure it will work out for both of us.
