it's everywhere.......sexual images...TV, billboards, magazines etc.

america has many obsessions. sex just being the most recognizable to the eyes and ears of america. what about americas obsession with money. this is a whole different subject, but an overwhelming obsession nonetheless. this is the land of the free. whatever obsessions or what have you are affecting the masses doesn't, or shouldn't make a difference to the american who is an individual, is flexible in his decision making, and has a truck load of rights. it is the american who decides to follow along, laugh, pat on the back, encourage, view, etc... sex that is responsible for any perceived obsession. so maybe this question would be best answered with another question. does america have a one track mind?

Sex is the highest selling market we have right now. Nothing sells more than sex does, so of course we're obsessed. Thankfully, in SoCal, we're also very health conscious so the beautiful men and women of the plastic, airbrush, modeling world have nothing on us! We're like #4 in the world for having the most beautiful people! :)~

Americans are obsessed with image. Being sexy and having hot sex is part of the image.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?.....America?....thats so funny.....ever been to amsterdam?.....taiwan?......so funny you say America is obsessed with sex, but there are so many other countries where paying for sex is legal and actually have places you can go to get hand jobs, sex, messages...pretty much anything your mind desires....but yet you pick on Americans.....your pretty ignorant.

I think the advertisers and the TV mogels THINK we are obsessed with sex and therefore they keep pushing it on us. Sometimes what is left to the imagination is better that what they put on the screen!

They're obsessed with it, but not necessarily that great at it. I think the obsession is actually angst and insecurity. It's all so trite and mechanical and yet there are so many hangups.

Everyone is obsesses with sex, it's just america that uses it so crassly for the marketing of everything from children's cereal to vacation packages.

You need to watch some British TV, they have nude people on regular TV, that would never happen here.
