Actually, neither.
In order to get to the level of leadership that most people think of when they discuss the two parties, it is impossible not to have attained a certain level of intelligence and schooling.
BOTH parties have had members who are so incredibly corrupt that it is impossible to believe that they maintained their positions as long as they do.
The Democrats have had more members involved in morality scandals, as there has never been a Republican president accused of inappropriate sexual conduct outside the confines of his marriage.
The Republicans have had more media attention on their breakdowns in ethics and behaviors.
The honest answer for anyone that would chose to do the research is that there is, actually, very little difference between the two parties any longer. While the Democrats claim to be in favor of the little guy, and anti bi-business, the republicans have never had a majority large enough to have done the majority of the things they accomplished without the Democratic party.
During the 1970's and 1980's, Big Business had a larger growth and profit run than at any time in history, and yet the Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate; it was THEIR policies that allowed it to happen. Yet, they blame the Republicans. The Democrats also have 6 of the top 10 wealthiest people in Congress.
The largest increases in personal freedoms and increase in low and middle income wealth has come as a result of Republican Congresses... yet it is the Democrats who take the credit.
Truthful answer for your question?
Both of them.

This is an easy question to answer, repuglicans are the worst. They have a duel standard and that is how they run the government. If it fits the situation then that is what they stick with. Lets take abortion for instance, they for the most part are against abortion. However it is ok to kill woman and baby's in Iraq. It is only one of the hyprocracy's demostrated by the most corrupt party, greed is another example of what they stand for.

corrupt people are corrupt people. for every bad republican you can name i can name a corrupt democrat. you have to weed out the bad ones on either side. the ideas are whats important. conservatives believe that people should have more power then government. the government does not solve issues they create them. hence the reason the great society failed. taxing the rich only makes more people poor. Conservatives believe that life should be preserved not aborted. Conservatives believe that a Strong defense is a strong offense. people should be responsible for themselves not the government. what do liberals believe? from what i see they believe they hate George bush. anything else? what do you believe?

What's worse than anything you listed is an uncritical mind.
It seems to me that people who complain about their elected leaders should do more instead of talk more. If you do not like who holds office, then get involved. Research your candidates before punching out the chad. What are their voting records? What companies have donated to their campaigns?
Does anyone spend more than an hour looking at the Voter's Pamphlet before they go into the booth?

Republicans seem to be the most easily corrupted and least empathetic to the plight of others. Also they have the most rigid world views and are most likely to be intolerant of alternative viewpoints. But Democrats can be pretty flaky as well. Republicans seem to get involved in the more wierd and extreme sexaul imbroglios; When Democrats get into sexual stuff, it is usually pretty straighforward; affairs with women who are not their wife etc; Republicans have sex with underage girls and boys, stuff like that.

Accountability is now the key word for all politicians. Write them constantly telling them that you are not satisfied or are satisfied with what they are doing or not doing. Don't rest, keep a constant flow and demand that they answer you back or they cannot count on your vote come next election. People vote in politicians, we must vote in the ones who will do the good job, not just the ones who have lots of money.

History will show that Democrats are more likely to personal murder or cheat on spouse. They give the dumbest explanations.
Republicans will participate in more wars - they defend more people from other countries. They are equal being corrupt. Give a man power or let him suppose to believe he has power & he will be corrupt.

I agree that both are extremes with extremist views on everything. Both have the tendancy to be pretty stupid sometimes...but I think republicans are more 'corrupt' in many ways.

I think that the Party System sould be done away with because it just breeds hatred and corruption. No one party has a corner on the moral or ethical market.
