If the cpu isn't powering up you've got a problem. If it is, check the input switch on the monitor itself to ensure you've got the right input selected and the connector cable is on correctly.
If that's OK, next check your PC. Power cable OK? Check the power switch in the back and make sure it's in the 120V position.
If that is correct the only other problem would be a card or memory module that has come partially out of the slot. Open the case and inspect them. Check the wires coming from the power supply are connected to the motherboard.
If all that appears OK then take it back to the shop. You got a dud.

Sometimes the power supply has a switch.
In the back of the PC case, look for it.

There's a little red switch on the back of the PC. This indicates the power input, switch it then try to start your computer.

Go back to the store and ask for refund, and buy a mac, PC sucks *** these days, low quality, unstable.
