No. I have had my braces off for about 2 months and I know that it does not hurt for a fact. But when you go back to your orthodintist, they will probably change the wires and reband your brackets. You will feel either sore of a lot of pressure afterwards.
You will get used to having them after a couple of days. If something does break on your braces such as awire, this will probably poke at your cheeks or gums. If you do put wax on the area and get them fixed as soon as possible, there will be no discomfort. Unfortunatley, you will have braces for one or two years, but you will get used to the changes such as the feeling of brackets on the back of your lips and your teeth becoming closer. No. Braces do not Hurt.

It hurts whenever you go to get your brackets changed. Sometimes, it also justs hurts all of a sudden. It will be very hard to eat; you end up eating a lot of soft things like ice-cream and soup. If you can't stand the pain, Tylenol will help. It just so happens I got my braces off today!

well, it depends on the status of your teeth and on the type of it ( removable or non removable) and if it's an upper or lower one. Also sometimes the preperation hurts a bit, like spreading the theeth to plant the metal rings ( like what happened with me) and it also considered as HELL if your dentist is stupid! mine hurt a bit when i first had it ( non-removable) but now it doesn't hurt at all... by the way it cost me about 1750$, how much did it cost u?

If you just got them on it may take a day or so before you begin to feel it. If you've had them for a while and don't feel pain that's normal too. It really only hurts for a day or two.

Yeah, mine hurt. But not much and not for long. Until I got rubber bands. The first night with them, I couldn't sleep my mouth hurt so much.
