I was a little nervous about delivery. Most people are. But, once you are there, you just know what to do. Yes, it will hurt, but the second you see that baby, it will all go away! A few hours of pain is so worth a lifetime of joy! Congrats! You'll do fine!

It is normal to be scared. I was terrified about it with my daughter. But like already mentioned by someone else we are built to have babies. I will tell you that it's gonna hurt and I do mean hurt but you have the option of pain meds. I didn't have the option of pain killers because I had my daughter fast. Even though it hurt a lot it was well worth it. I think the thing that hurt the worst for me was after I had her and came home and had stitchs. Not everyone has them but not everyone gets 7 like I did but that pain to me was worse. You'll be okay and you will be able to handle it. Just keep in mind during the whole process that you will have one of the greatests blessing that God can give once it's over.

Yes its normal for anybody to be scared about having a baby. I had my son back in Jan. and at first I wasn't scared and was telling myself that I could handle the pain and it wasn't going to be nothing. Well when I went into labor that's when everything hit me. I was scared to death. I handled the pain for the most part. I was in labor for 31 hours and i handled the pain for most of it. It did get very intense but they ended up doing a c-section on me. You know the level of pain that your body can handle and that you can handle. So when you do go into labor just try to stay calm, everything will be ok, and if you can't handle the pain then just tell them and they will give you something. Its not going to hurt the baby.

It almost isn't normal to Not be scared! I don't where you stand on the whole epidural/pain medicine during labor. But I have given birth 3 times 3 different ways. First one I had pain meds including an epidural, the 2nd time I was all natural 100% & the 3rd time I unfortunately had a C-section. As far as the labor & birth ( well except 3rd time I was asleep @ birth but the labor was THE WORST) the epidural was G-R-E-A-T. It was no where near as bad as I had thought. The fear of labor/giving birth is worse than the actual experience.

of course it is natural. I had 3 kids and I was scared with each one. As for being able to handle the pain, you would be surprised at how much pain a mother can take. Talk to your doctor before you go into delivery. He might suggest an epideral. Just be aware that if you wait too long to get it, you may not be able to have one.

You are SO NORMAL... Don't worry. You have to trust that your body will know exactly what to do - and when you get scared that you can't take it any more you are probably almost fully dilated and ready to push and that doesn't hurt at all! It's so gratifying to work with your body to birth a baby - there's nothing like it! You'll do fine - try not to let other people scare you! Visualize yourself giving birth successfully - with no pain - do it daily!
Best wishes!

I was very scared from about 6 months, its only natural. Dont forgetr that you`ll get all the help you need from the hospital and if anything does go wrong then your in the best place.
I was 1 week overdue and by that time you just want to get it over with!
My baby is now 6 weeks old and definatley worth the wait. So dont worry!

I would be worried about you if you weren't scared! That is natural! The best I can describe the pain of contractions to you is take your worst stomach cramps (from diarrhea) and times that by 10! That is contraction pain - you can deal with it better if you know what to expect!
